Job Description

Job Title:  Channel Development Manager (CDM)
Primary work location: FORTRUST Data Center, 4300 Brighton Blvd., Denver, CO or remote location/office (TBD)
Department:  Sales
Reports to:  COO and SVP Sales
Number of direct reports:  1-3

Job Summary

This position will report to the COO and/or SVP Sales.  The Channel Development Manager (CDM) will manage all business development aspects of FORTRUST’s channel partner program, with a primary focus on net new channel partner acquisition as well as channel sales revenue and lead generation objectives. The Channel Development Manager will manage and administer the channel partner program and all associated procedures and processes.  The role will balance new partner acquisition, partner development, partner management. The overall objective is growing the channel sales funnel as well as significantly increasing the partners participating in the program.

The Channel Development Manager, in acting as the liaison between FORTRUST and its Channel Partners, will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and exceeding set quotas and activity standards while adhering to FORTRUST’s sales rules of engagement.
  • Implement and execute focused strategy to sign and develop net new channel partners.
  • Executing defined strategy to develop channel partners outside the state of Colorado.
  • Manage and be the main FORTRUST Point of Contact for all channel partners.
  • Aggressively drive partners to maximize sales and total partnership potential through sales best practices, training, nurture campaigns and support.
  • Communicate and provide content with partners on new products and service offerings.
  • Create processes and procedures to streamline partner management.
  • Work with marketing to drive programs and events to extend the relationships to new prospects.
  • Continually learning about new products and improving selling skills. The CDM is required to attend training events throughout the year and expected to participate in self-paced online learning when appropriate.
  • Increasing personal industry knowledge.
  • Provide weekly reporting of pipeline and forecasting via CRM.
  • Keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
  • Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
  • Preparing written presentations and reports.
  • Developing and executing FORTRUST Channel Partner Agreements, business and marketing plans.

  • Creating Net New Channel Partners.
  • Meeting and exceeding Channel pipeline metrics.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing relationships with potential partners to procure leads, solutions development and joint marketing activities.
  • Participating in trade shows, lunch & learns and presentations to industry/customer groups.
  • Enforcing and complying with all FORTRUST Sales, Marketing, and Legal, Finance and Operations processes and procedures.
  • Facilitating and/or participating in special projects for the company and/or departments (i.e. volunteer, charity events, internal projects, support of cross-departmental initiatives, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Educational/Qualification Requirements

Minimum:

  • 2 years in Data Center/Colocation or related environment.

Preferred:

  • 4 years in Data Center Services/Colocation or related environment.
  • 5 years proven experience in the channel for the colocation industry or a related field such as telecommunications.

Job Description

Job Title:  Solutions Architect

Job Summary

This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Operations.

The solutions architect function and team will assist in the sales cycle by providing data center services and technical solutions to prospective customers and to help the Sales Team members meet/exceed sales and revenue targets. The solutions architect will be responsible for performing all pre-sales technical requirements gathering and architecting colocation services solutions to meet the availability demands of our customers. Additionally, solutions architecting will be responsible for creating and managing the technical delivery of the scope of work for our customer projects.  This will include assisting sales team members in developing proposals, providing presentations, closing service agreements.

The solutions architect will be responsible for providing technical resources to the sales team and coordinating pre-sales activities with the operations team as necessary.

The solutions architect will:

  • Demonstrate the technical ability to clearly identify customer requirements and architect high availability IT solutions to meet them.
  • Produce detailed scope of work documents and apply proven processes to assure the successful delivery of customer solutions.
  • Support the direct sales force by providing the technical content and validation for all proposals.
  • Develop, implement, and provide continuous monitoring and improvement for our service delivery processes.
  • Possess a strong understanding of current data center market conditions and collect and analyze competitive and market information and research to help provide for maximum revenue generation from our products and services.
  • Work closely with IT engineering and Operation teams to identify product goals, define feature requirements, and prioritize deliverables.
  • Ability to work with a team as well as with outside customers, potential customers, and partners
  • Possess a strong understanding of current data center market conditions.

Job Summary

The role of the Data Center Maintenance Specialist is to provide overall support for FORTRUST in providing custodial, minor maintenance, first level monitoring, operation and troubleshooting of equipment and systems, shipping and receiving, and inventory functions as well as other duties and responsibilities assigned by Operations Management.  They must do this in a manner consistent with FORTRUST’s overall objective to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for the over all cleanliness and up keep of the interior and exterior of the building including controlled areas where housekeeping standards will be extensive. The Data Center Maintenance Specialist will be responsible to assist with routine maintenance and a variety of Data Center, and grounds maintenance tasks, and additionally the operation of equipment to support these tasks.
  • Responsible for the inventory of stored equipment for various Fortrust departments, and customers. The position will be responsible for ordering and maintaining proper inventory amounts of cleaning supplies, maintenance items, and other consumables as directed by management.

Job title:  Security Specialist
Primary work location: FORTRUST Data Center, 4300 Brighton Blvd., Denver, CO
Department:  Security
Reports to:  Chief Data Center Officer (CDCO) and/or Security Manager
Number of direct reports:  0

Job Summary

This position will report to the CDCO or the cognizant manager of security.

The Security Specialist will be responsible for the verification of identification, authorization, and access credentials through badge inspection and monitoring security access systems at designated security stations, guard houses, and checkpoints. Will be required to monitor, notify, and take specific action as per procedures and guidelines while documenting pertinent events.

The Security Specialist is responsible for monitoring the property/facility for: security, access control, facility safety and cleanliness, personnel, property and asset protection.

Including:

  • Conducting rounds, tours and inspections and verifications of secure doors, entrances & exits, dock doors, exterior grounds, and gates.
  • Monitoring of security systems and CCTV.
  • Keeping records both written and electronic; writing reports when required.
  • Customer service, assistance, and support.
  • Receiving of incoming deliveries, logging, and inventory of items.
  • Controlling and inspecting incoming and outgoing property.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for the inventory of stored equipment for various FORTRUST departments, and customers.
  • Providing support for the Operations department in customer service; internal and external, shipping and receiving, general custodial and inventory functions as well as other duties and responsibilities assigned by the department.

Other Job Requirements

  • Working in a 7×24 environment, on-call and responding outside of normal business hours may be required
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 75lbs. This may include handling various types of equipment, to include heavy single boxed items up to 75 lbs.

Job Title: Account Manager (AM)

Job Summary

This position will report to the Vice President. Responsibilities include; selling and providing Data Center service and technical solutions to prospective customers and to meet/exceed sales and revenue targets. This will include prospecting companies; developing proposals, providing presentations, closing Service Agreements, and ongoing customer account management and support.

The AM will be responsible for generating new business and achieving revenue targets and quota. These duties include, but are not limited to; uncovering new market opportunities; developing business with businesses and Data Center Services customers. Develop strong relations with customers at decision-making levels.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
