add depth to dynamic management team at Denver data center—
DENVER –FORTRUST, a Denver-based high-availability data center services provider and colocation facility, today announced the addition of two key staff members to support the organization’s growth and increasing demand for its services. The new hires create additional depth to an already strong team with broad experience in providing a superior data center experience.
FORTRUST has appointed Tim Pierce as business development manager, bringing deep experience in engineering, product development, managed services and solution architecture to his role at the growing company. He will assist clients in creating scalable and reliable solutions for their critical services and applications. Prior to his work in the data center environment, he worked at Raytheon on major federal government programs building next-generation weather satellite systems for use by NASA, NOAA and the Department of Defense.
In addition, FORTRUST has hired Michael Piers as a critical systems manager within the facilities group. An engineer by trade, Piers brings vast experience in managing critical data center systems to the organization. In his new role he is responsible for testing, maintenance and planning for the systems that provide FORTRUST’s high-availability data center services as well as all aspects of physical security. He honed his working knowledge in previous data center positions where he implemented customer migration plans, designed network infrastructure and ensured that customers’ service level agreements were established and delivered.
“These appointments stem from FORTRUST’s recent progress and we will continue to build on this momentum throughout 2008,” said Steve Knudson, chief executive officer of FORTRUST. “The addition of these exceptional staff members is further evidence of our continued investment in our clients’ futures by expanding our capabilities with the most advanced technology and retaining a dedicated, highly qualified team.”
The two new hires follow a year of major progress including a recent 20,000 foot raised-floor expansion of the facility. FORTRUST now manages more than 224,000 square feet of space within its facility.
